Full Job Description

Overview

Professional Underground Services, Inc. is a local excavation and underground utility contractor seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our growing team. This is a dual-role position responsible for preparing accurate project estimates while also managing awarded projects from start to finish. We are looking for someone who is reliable and self-motivated.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing estimating responsibilities with successful project execution. This position requires strong communication skills, sound decision-making, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.

Duties

Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
Develop accurate, competitive bid proposals and budgets.
Identify project risks and cost-saving solutions.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
Manage projects from contract award through final completion.
Develop project schedules and coordinate with field personnel.
Monitor budgets, costs, change orders, and project profitability and ensure deadlines are met.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Class A CDL (Required)
Strong understanding of commercial construction estimating, project management, or a combination of both.
Experience in preparing detailed estimates and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Willing to Travel
