Position Details:
This position works 52 weeks per year. It is scheduled 5 days per week at 8 hours per day.
Salary:
Salary will be determined based on the candidate's education and relevant experience.

EVSC employees have access to the EVSC Wee Care Learning Centers. The Wee Care program provides a quality early learning experience for employees' children as young as six weeks through age five at a special employee rate.
This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). Employees may also participate in a 403(b) Plan. Enrolling in the 403(b) plan allows employees to save for their retirement by making a pre-tax salary deferral contributions to the Plan.
Eligible employees may enroll in the EVSC group life insurance and long term disability plans. EVSC also offers a variety of voluntary insurance products through American Fidelity.

SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Generalist (Operations) provides operational support for a wide range of Human Resources functions, including employee onboarding and offboarding, personnel records administration, Workers' Compensation intake, leave administration support, compliance reporting, and Human Resources operational processes. This position serves as a key resource to employees and administrators by delivering responsive customer service while ensuring compliance with corporation policies and employment regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

Coordinate and administer a variety of Human Resources operational functions, including employee onboarding, employee separations, personnel transactions, data management, and employment records.

Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and ensure data integrity across all employment records.

Coordinate the intake and initial processing of Workers' Compensation claims, ensuring timely documentation, reporting, and communication while partnering with the Human Resources leadership throughout the claims process.

Coordinate employee identification badge access and security requests.

Coordinate recurring Human Resources operational processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance activities.

Maintain and update the corporation's professional development and compliance tracking systems to support state and federal training requirements.

Coordinate office purchasing, invoicing, and billing.

Assist with HR projects and continuous process improvements designed to elevate operational efficiency and enhance the employee experience.

Provide employees and applicants with guidance regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, benefits, employment practices, and applicable regulations.

Collect, compile, verify, and analyze confidential employee information and prepare reports related to staffing, compensation, compliance, and other Human Resources activities.

Assist with the administration of employee leaves of absence as needed.

Develop working knowledge of all Human Resources functions and provide cross-functional support as departmental needs require.

Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school degree or GED required. Office experience required. Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite as well as Google products. Bachelor's Degree and/or over two years experience in a professional Human Resource role preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrators, teachers, school board members, and the general public.
