Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, financial management, and completion of electrical construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. This position serves as the primary liaison between customers, field leadership, vendors, subcontractors, and company management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction, electrical estimating, or both, and possess the technical knowledge necessary to effectively manage commercial and industrial electrical projects.
Duties
Project Management
- Manage multiple electrical construction projects from award through closeout.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks before they impact the project.
- Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maximize productivity.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
- Conduct project kickoff meetings with field supervision.
- Lead regular project status meetings with customers and internal teams.
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Financial Management
- Prepare and maintain project budgets.
- Track labor productivity and project costs.
- Review job cost reports and forecast project profitability.
- Approve subcontractor pay applications.
- Manage change orders from pricing through execution.
- Identify opportunities to improve project profitability.
Customer Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, and vendors.
- Resolve project issues professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout each project.
Field Support
- Work closely with General Foremen and Foremen.
- Assist with manpower planning and scheduling.
- Provide technical support to field personnel.
- Visit project sites regularly to monitor progress and address challenges.
Estimating & Preconstruction
- Assist with project handoffs from estimating.
- Review estimates for completeness.
- Participate in value engineering opportunities.
- Support estimating on negotiated work and change order pricing.
- Assist in project planning and procurement.
Contract Administration
- Review contracts and subcontract agreements.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and contract requirements.
- Monitor project documentation.
- Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, change orders, and closeout documentation.
- Coordinate project billing with the Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Support jobsite safety meetings and audits.
- Ensure compliance with union agreements and applicable labor requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction, electrical estimating, project management, or a combination of these areas.
- Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator or Electrical Superintendent or Foreman.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Experience with Conest IntelliBid a plus

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
