Position would include:
1. Conduct preventive maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, inspections,
and lubrication on industrial machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and
ensure optimal performance.
2. Troubleshoot and repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic,
and pneumatic issues (to root cause) with machinery and equipment. Repair or replace
defective parts as necessary. Put machinery back to original where applicable.
3. Equipment installation: Assist in the installation, setup, and alignment of new machinery
or equipment according to specifications and safety standards.
4. Machine adjustments and calibration: Make adjustments to machinery settings, such as
speed, pressure, and temperature, to optimize performance and ensure product quality.
5. Safety compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work
environment. Identify and address potential safety hazards related to machinery and
equipment. Must assist and /or facilitate monthly safety meetings.
6. Documentation and record-keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance
activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts inventory. Complete maintenance
reports and work orders in a timely manner.
7. Spare parts inventory: Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and
equipment components. Order and restock parts as needed to ensure availability for
maintenance and repairs.
8. Collaborate with teams: Coordinate with production, engineering, and other
departments to prioritize maintenance tasks, minimize production disruptions, and
address equipment-related issues.
9. Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability,
efficiency, and performance. Recommend and implement preventive maintenance
enhancements and process optimizations.
10. Training and mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior maintenance staff.
Share knowledge and expertise to develop their skills and ensure a capable
maintenance team.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
5+ YEARS Proven experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and industrial controls.
Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Machining - Lathe and Mill experience
Familiarity with maintenance management software or computerized maintenance
management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid drivers License required, to pick up supplies.
Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to adhere to them.
