Position Summary
The Scheduler is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and monitoring project schedules to ensure compliance with contract requirements and project objectives. This role supports project teams by evaluating contractor schedule performance, identifying potential delays, assessing time impacts, and providing schedule-related recommendations. The position may be assigned at various grade levels based on experience and demonstrated expertise.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze contractor baseline schedules, updates, recovery schedules, and fragnet submissions for compliance with contract requirements.
Evaluate schedule logic, critical path activities, float management, resource loading, and milestone achievement.
Prepare written comments and recommendations regarding contractor schedule submissions.
Monitor contractor schedule performance and communicate findings to project management and stakeholders.
Analyze schedule impacts, delays, and time extension requests.
Support project controls, construction management, and project delivery teams with schedule-related reporting and analysis.
Participate in progress meetings and schedule review meetings.
Prepare schedule performance metrics, dashboards, and executive summaries.
Ensure schedule documentation complies with project standards, procedures, and contractual requirements.
Utilize scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to perform schedule reviews and analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
10–15 years of scheduling experience, including 5+ years in direct support of active construction projects.
Experience in large-scale heavy civil, transportation, rail, or transit infrastructure projects preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
Performs complex reviews and analyses of contractor schedules for contract compliance.
Evaluates critical path, schedule risks, and project performance trends.
Writes and reviews comprehensive schedule comments and reports.
Updates project leadership on contractor performance and schedule concerns.
Performs schedule impact evaluations and supports delay and claims analysis.
Mentors junior scheduling staff and provides technical guidance.
Pay: $52.79 - $111.20 per hour
