General Description of Duties:

We are looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our great team. The Homeless Employment Specialist's primary role is to assist and place people who are housing insecure into regular part- or full-time jobs.

Primary Job Functions:

Assist Participants in finding, obtaining and retaining permanent employment
Support participants in obtaining and maintaining permanent housing.
Provide Participants with services to promote housing stability and prevent exits to homelessness.
Provide Participants with assistance in goal setting and achievement that will increase residential stability, promote increased skills and income, and greater self-determination.
Provide resource navigation services to Participants
Maintain case notes and progress reporting in required systems in compliance with funder and organization requirements.
Participate in all team meetings and planning sessions.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Valid and current WA state driver’s license
Proof of automobile insurance
Proof of reliable car transportation
Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred and/or ability to pass certification within 30 days of hire.
Compliance/completion of form I-9, Immigration and Naturalization Services as required by law
Two-three (2-3) years of case management experience
Computer literacy and writing skills preferred
Candidates must pass a WA State criminal history background check prior to employment.
Preferred Bilingual: Spanish
