Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Mortgage Loan Assistant and become a vital part of the commercial financing journey! In this energetic role, you will support the mortgage lending process by coordinating loan documentation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. Your proactive approach will help streamline loan origination, underwriting, and servicing activities, enabling clients to achieve their homeownership goals with confidence. Responsibilities

Assist loan officers in preparing and reviewing mortgage loan documentation, including disclosures and application forms
Coordinate with clients to gather necessary financial information and verify accuracy for loan processing
Ensure all loan files comply with FNMA (Fannie Mae), TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure), FHA (Federal Housing Administration), VA (Veterans Affairs), and other relevant regulations
Support the underwriting team by conducting credit analysis, income verification, and collateral evaluation
Manage loan processing tasks such as escrow setup, loan documentation tracking, and ensuring adherence to lending policies
Maintain clear internal communication with team members to facilitate smooth workflow and timely approvals
Utilize Encompass or similar mortgage software to process applications efficiently while ensuring compliance with all loan regulations

Requirements

Proven experience in loan origination, mortgage servicing, or related financial services roles, preferably with loan officer experience
Strong knowledge of industry standards including FNMA guidelines, Fair Housing regulations, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and mortgage compliance requirements
Familiarity with mortgage products such as conventional loans, FHA loans, VA loans, and industry-specific software like Encompass
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in loan documentation and processing procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and basic math skills for credit analysis and escrow calculations
Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally to ensure client satisfaction and regulatory compliance
Knowledge of federal housing regulations and lending practices to support compliant mortgage services
