The applicant must be willing to do multiple trades. Every day is something different. You will assist the project with various assignments as necessary. Often will work on a variety of tasks within a given day.
Job Task:
- Duties associated with asphalt paving, patching or prep crews
- Shovel and rake asphalt.
· Perform misc. duties related to paving, pouring concrete, drainage installation, sealcoating and general site construction duties.
- Asphalt work
- Measures distances from grade stakes, drives stakes, checks grade from string line.
- Assist construction / paving crew with various duties such as; shoveling and raking and running wheelbarrow.
- Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
- Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job site.
- May be called upon to run small power tools such as jack hammer.
- Dig, spread and level construction materials
- Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies.
- Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must have a valid/clean drivers license and reliable transportation
- Must have flexible availability
- Availability to work overtime if necessary
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Clear communications skills
- Must have a reliable smart phone
- Ability to use company ipad
- Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task.
- Obeys and follows all safety rules on the job site and encourages others to do the same
- Maintains a good relationship with co-workers and works well with others to accomplish a task
- Positive and productive attitude and good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and take safety seriously
- The qualified candidates will be Punctual, Trustworthy, Reliable and Responsible. This is a hands-on position.
HEAVY PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Heavy physical effort required including pulling and lifting or moving heavy weight material with frequent lifting or moving materials or equipment (over 60 pounds). If a position specific Physical Demands sheet is attached, it will describe in more detail the physical demands that are required.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:
Position requires the ability to continuously work around any or all of the following: noise, dust, heat, cold and heavy equipment. Personal protective equipment is normally required of the position. Position requires ability to exchange ideas quickly and clearly and the ability to receive and evaluate detailed information and instructions.

Experience:
- Asphalt Raking 2+ year (Preferred)
- Asphalt Placement 2+ year (Preferred)
- Knowledge of paving
- 2 or more years of experience in associated Asphalt Laborer work

Compensation: The rate for this position will vary and will be commensurate with experience
