Experienced Multi-Trade Craftsman / Handyman
Ace Handyman Services Fargo Moorhead is looking for an experienced, dependable craftsman who takes pride in doing quality work and treating customers professionally.
This is not an apprentice, helper, or entry-level position. We need someone who can walk into a customer’s home, evaluate the project, explain the recommended repair, complete the work correctly, and leave the space cleaner than they found it.
Applicants must have at least 4 years of professional carpentry, remodeling, construction, maintenance, or handyman experience. Five or more years of experience is preferred.
Drywall Skills Are Required
Professional sheetrock installation and finishing experience is a must. You must be able to independently:
- Hang and repair sheetrock
- Mud and tape drywall seams
- Patch small and large holes
- Repair damaged walls and ceilings
- Sand and prepare surfaces for paint
- Match existing wall and ceiling textures
- Complete repairs with a smooth, professional finished appearance
Other Skills We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in several of the following trades:
- General and finish carpentry
- Interior and exterior trim
- Door and window installation and repair
- Cabinet and shelving installation
- Deck and railing repair
- Interior and exterior painting
- Flooring installation and repair
- Siding and exterior repairs
- Minor plumbing repairs and fixture replacement
- Minor electrical repairs and fixture replacement
- Tile, caulking, and grout repairs
- Punch-list, maintenance, and general home repairs
You do not need to be an expert in every trade, but you must be highly skilled in carpentry and drywall and capable of completing a wide variety of repair and remodeling projects without constant supervision.

- Complete required job documentation and invoicing

We are not looking for someone who needs to be constantly directed, reminded, or checked on. We are looking for a professional who can manage their workday, solve problems, communicate clearly, and deliver results.
Compensation and Opportunities
- $22 to $28 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated skill level

Higher starting pay within the range is reserved for candidates who can demonstrate strong drywall finishing, carpentry, troubleshooting, customer service, and independent project-management skills.
