Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Accounting Associate supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience across multiple accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Review, code, and enter invoices and expense reports
Support payroll processing and related recordkeeping, as needed
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist with monthend close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Support fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounting transactions
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Provide general administrative support to the accounting team as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
01 year of accounting or finance experience (internships and relevant coursework accepted)
Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge a plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn and grow in an accounting career

Preferred Skills

Internship or parttime experience in accounting or finance
Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems (NetSuite or Microsoft Business Central a plus)
Interest in pursuing CPA or other accounting certifications
