Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a commitment to fostering a love for dance in students of all ages. This role requires creativity in curriculum development, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to engage students in a positive learning environment.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
Teach various dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, and theater dance, ensuring students learn proper techniques and choreography.
Manage classroom dynamics effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
Provide individualized attention to students, offering tutoring and support as needed to enhance their learning experience.
Organize performances and showcase events to highlight student progress and achievements.
Collaborate with fellow instructors to create interdisciplinary lessons that may incorporate elements of theater or culinary arts.
Maintain a safe and clean studio environment conducive to learning.

Skills

Strong background in dance with experience in ballet and other styles.
Proficient in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
Experience working with children and adults in educational settings, including early childhood education or preschool experience.
Knowledge of behavior management strategies and childhood development principles.
Ability to engage students through creative teaching methods that may include photography or sewing as part of the curriculum.
Experience in special education is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of all backgrounds. Join us in nurturing the next generation of dancers while sharing your passion for the art form!
