Job Summary: Crystal Steel Fabricators, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Inspector to join our team in our shop. The inspector will perform thorough inspections of structural steel and miscellaneous metals to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards. This role requires a strong focus on weld quality, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience in steel fabrication quality control, be proficient in reading fabrication drawings and welding symbols, and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications: Must have experience in structural steel fabrication, welding inspection, and quality control processes. Must be able to read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, WPS documents, and technical specifications accurately. Strong knowledge of weld fit-up inspection techniques and visual weld inspection methods. Familiarity with AWS standards <US_DRIVER_LICENSE>.1 (Welding Inspector Certification) and <US_DRIVER_LICENSE>.5 (Visual Inspection) is required. Understanding of AISC standards related to steel fabrication quality is essential. Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection instruments. Basic computer skills for maintaining inspection records and generating reports. Ability to demonstrate safe work practices consistently and communicate safety procedures effectively. A commitment to workplace safety is essential for success in this role.
