Full Job Description

Pure One Mortgage is hiring a Mortgage Call Center Representative to join our team in Burton.

This is a phone-based sales and customer service position. You will spend most of your day talking with potential customers, learning what they are looking to do, and connecting interested customers with one of our licensed Loan Officers.

You do not need mortgage experience to apply. We can teach you the mortgage side of the business. What we are looking for is someone who is comfortable talking to people, willing to learn, and able to stay motivated throughout the day.

What you'll be doing

Making outbound calls to potential mortgage customers
Speaking with people about buying a home, refinancing, or other mortgage needs
Asking a few basic questions to understand their situation
Connecting interested and qualified customers with a licensed Loan Officer
Updating customer notes and information in our system
Following our call process and company guidelines
Working toward daily and weekly activity goals
Learning our products, processes, and the mortgage business as you go

You will not be responsible for originating or structuring mortgage loans. Once a customer is ready to move forward, you will transfer them to a licensed Loan Officer who handles the application and loan process.

Who we're looking for

This job is a good fit for someone who:

Is comfortable spending a large part of the day on the phone
Communicates well and can hold a natural conversation
Doesn't get discouraged by rejection
Is dependable and shows up ready to work
Takes coaching well
Wants to improve and make more money based on performance
Has an interest in sales, finance, mortgages, banking, or real estate

Call center, or customer service experience is helpful, but it is not required. Sales experience is required.

Pay

This position includes hourly pay plus commission for closed loans that come from customers you helped connect with our Loan Officers.

Expected total annual compensation is approximately $50,000-$75,000, depending on performance and commissions earned.

Strong performers will have the opportunity to enter our Loan Officer training program within their first thirty, sixty, and ninety days.

You do not have to become a Loan Officer to stay with us. If you like this position and perform well, you can continue working and growing in this role.

If you do not wish to move into a Loan Officer position, you will still gain an incredible amount of real estate knowledge and have opportunities to move into a Loan Officer Assistant, Processor, or Closing Team position.
