Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Hotel Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and financial management within the hospitality industry, demonstrating expertise in handling complex financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth financial operations of a dynamic hotel environment by managing accounts payable and receivable, performing reconciliations, and supporting overall financial reporting.

Hotel Accounting Clerk Position Summary
The Hotel Accounting Clerk oversees daily financial administrative tasks, ensuring precise tracking of all operational revenues and expenditures. This role is highly focused on managing workflows within Inn-Flow Hotel Accounting Software and auditing daily transaction data generated by Oracle OPERA Cloud Property Management System (PMS).

Core Duties and Responsibilities

OPERA Cloud Auditing: Reconcile daily guest ledgers, credit card settlements, and city ledger accounts directly pulling from OPERA Cloud.
Inn-Flow Expense Management: Upload, code, and route vendor invoices using Inn-Flow's AI-powered Accounts Payable automation tools.
Procurement Alignment: Match purchase orders and tracking data inside Inn-Flow Procurement against incoming vendor statements to maintain strict budget controls.
Daily Income Journaling: Audit and export daily PMS transaction journals from OPERA Cloud to ensure smooth integration into the Inn-Flow general ledger.
Month-End Close Support: Assist the finance team with bank reconciliations and expense reporting to meet fast-paced Inn-Flow month-end timelines.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Experience: 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, explicitly within a hotel environment.
Software Expertise: Direct, hands-on proficiency using OPERA Cloud and Inn-Flow is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and journal mapping.
Core Competencies: High level of organization, speed with data entry, and strong analytical problem-solving skills.

This position offers a vital role within our finance department by ensuring precise financial record-keeping and supporting the overall fiscal health of our hotel operations. Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
