Tax Manager
Flagstaff, AZ

Must-Haves

Active CPA license required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
5+ years of tax preparation experience handling complex individual and business returns
Strong experience preparing and reviewing Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, and 1120S
Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, families, and business clients
Strong client relationship management and tax planning experience
Proficiency with tax software and tax technology platforms
Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills
Experience improving workflows, processes, and operational efficiency
Master’s in Taxation is a plus

Overview

A rapidly growing Wealth Management Firm in Flagstaff is expanding its services to include tax preparation and advisory support for its clients and is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead this growing practice area.

This is a unique opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys client interaction, strategic tax planning, practice development, and building operational processes within a collaborative and client-focused environment. The ideal candidate will play a key leadership role in shaping and growing the firm’s tax services division.

Key Responsibilities

Lead client consultations, onboarding, and ongoing tax advisory relationships
Provide strategic tax planning and guidance for individuals, families, trusts, partnerships, and business entities
Oversee preparation and review of Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, and 1120S while ensuring compliance and accuracy
Develop and implement standardized workflows and operational best practices for the growing tax practice
Leverage tax technology and process improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience
Collaborate closely with wealth advisors to provide integrated financial and tax planning solutions
Conduct monthly cross-training sessions for advisory staff on tax strategies, tax law changes, and planning opportunities
Support bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial record management services for clients as needed
Maintain knowledge of evolving tax regulations and compliance requirements
Help drive the continued growth and long-term success of the firm’s tax practice
