Here at Bear Copper Electric I strive to be the best high end electrical company in the greater Asheville area. We are a two man band at the moment and I am looking for a lead guy that can run service calls on their own or be left on bigger jobs alone. I need someone motivated and ready to work.
I don't care if you have worked in the feild for 100 years, we all have things to perfect and learn. I like things done a certain way on my jobs and that is non-negotiable. I can not stress that enough. Even down to the way you strip Romex. I am looking for someone who is a perfectionist and has nothing but the upmost integrity in their work.
There are no benefits for now aside from paid holidays and paid time off but I promise this company will grow and when it does I intend to look out for my team big time.
So far it has been a good mix of larger remodels, service work, and the occasional opportunity for ground-ups. This job is primarily residential so I need someone with solid knowledge of resi code and practices. That is non-negotiable as well.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Perform frame carpentry and build electrical panels as needed
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutions
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time
- Train and mentor apprentice electricians
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an electrician
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Familiarity with high voltage systems and equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
