Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team. In this role, you will manage procurement activities, oversee vendor communications, and ensure the timely acquisition of materials necessary for our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with ERP systems, supply chain management, and procurement strategies to optimize inventory control and sourcing operations.

Duties

Buying & Sourcing: Find suppliers, evaluate options, and negotiate the best prices and terms.
Inventory Control: Track stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Vendor Management: Build relationships with suppliers and resolve shipping or pricing issues.
Order Tracking: Create purchase orders and ensure deliveries arrive on time.

Skills

Experience: 2–3 years in purchasing or supply chain (construction industry experience is a plus).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business/Supply Chain OR equivalent work experience a plus
Tech Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP/procurement software.
Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and multitasking abilities.
Travel/License: Reliable transportation and a Chauffeur's License.
Certifications: CPIM, CPP, or C.P.M. is a plus.
