Made In Detroit is looking for a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Apparel Production Specialist to join our team. If you have experience in apparel decoration (specifically with a Tajima multi-head embroidery machine) and enjoy producing high-quality work, we'd love to meet you.
This position offers the opportunity to work with one of Detroit's most recognized lifestyle brands. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and is willing to help in all aspects of production.
Duties
- Must have experience operating a Four Head Tajima embroidery machine (Tajima multi-head experience a must)
- Operate heat press equipment
- Prepare garments for production
- Hoop garments accurately and efficiently
- Perform quality control throughout the production process
- Maintain embroidery machines and perform basic troubleshooting
- Organize thread, transfers, garments, and production supplies
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and warehouse organization
- Coordinate with outside screen-printing vendors when necessary
- Help maintain a clean, organized production area
- Assist customers and support sales when needed
- Inspect finished products for quality compliance, identifying defects or inconsistencies for correction or rejection
Qualifications
- Experience operating Tajima embroidery machines
- Experience with DTF printing and heat transfers
- Screen-printing knowledge is a plus
- Sales or customer service experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable with excellent attendance
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
