Umbrellex Behavioral Health Services, LLC is a leader in the specialized residential service provider industry.
We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our company. Umbrellex works with the State of Michigan to meet the housing needs of individuals with mental illness and developmental disabilities.
The staff will be working directly with clients by helping with their day to day objectives and challenges and overcome their own barriers.
Duties
- Required to work flexible schedule in order to meet coverage needs or to complete job
requirements all sites within assigned geographical area.
- Required to cross train at other Direct Care Professional sites in order to meet the needs
of the business, including but not limited to travel to other sites.
- Coordinate programming goals for consumers to include but not limited to: attending
meetings, process plans, family communications, service provider communicators, and
implementing training of program objectives.
- Works directly with consumers as directed in their ISP.
- Establishes and maintains consumer community plans for each assigned program
participant.
- Prepares daily service notes for each assigned program participant.
- Works with other Community Living DCP to insure program unity, communication and
continuity.
- Documents consumer hours each day and submits to Administrator. Provide training and
educational opportunities to each consumer in accordance to their needs in their ISP.
- Serves as an advocate for the consumers.
- Attends Community Living DCP meetings, in-service meetings, required trainings, staff meetings and ALL mandatory Emergency Staff Meetings.
- Must fit the needs and possess the skills required to provide quality for the consumer they are assigned to.
- Must be open to being assigned to new consumers based on the needs of the business and/or needs of the consumers.
- Required to take consumers to ALL appointments, work at various sites while on shift.
- Required to accompany the consumers to such places but not limited to, hospitals, jails, court, urgent care, community outings.
- Required to work for the AGENCY and NOT a specific site. All DCP’s are required to work at any site within the same county on an as needed basis. Split shifts may be required at various sites.
- Required to report to ALL scheduled shifts if assigned consumer is not present due to possible manpower needs.
· Driving clients to appointments and/or to other facilities
Qualifications
- Effective verbal and written Communication Skills.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Effective Technological Competence such as efficient use of desktop computers, laptops, and smart devices to manage daily tasks; including but not limited to basic word processing programs, email applications, and scheduling platforms. A smart phone is required
- Exhibits Professionalism; including but not limited to basic customer service skills. Remember as a manager You Are The Face of The Company.
- Strong Organizational Skills that can manage an excessive amount of information.
- Exhibit strong Time Management Skills; including but not limited to, tracking how long it takes you to complete tasks, and learn what schedule optimizes your productivity.
- Effective Problem Solving Skills; including but not limited to, handling emergencies and life threatening situations effectively.
- Adequate Planning Abilities that enable you to utilize resources, allot time, and manage staff to complete both daily tasks and major projects on schedule.
- Ability to utilize a Proactive Approach to develop a workflow that anticipates problems that could arise and take the opportunity to address those issues head on.
- Ability to present a Sense of Discretion to deal with sensitive information, such as confidential records and private communications.
- Ability to Build Relationships with clients, effectively interact with clients from diverse cultures and setting boundaries with both clients and staff.
- Ability to transport clients safely. Knowledge and Understanding of Child/Adult abuse/neglect and Recipient Rights.
- Attendance is very important. Excessive call ins will result in termination.
· Valid Identification, Social Security Card, and/or Birth Certificate is required
· Experience in Group Homes is a plus but not required
License:
· First Aid CPR AED (Preferred)
