Full Job Description

Position Overview:

We are in immediate need of a detail-oriented, personable, and reliable full-time Legal Assistant to support the law office of Jeffrey B. Austin and Melinda Morgan Austin.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of administrative experience.

Legal experience and some bookkeeping experience preferred.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDF, Google Drive, and comfort with learning new software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Discretion in handling confidential information is a must.

Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.

Experience with Ala-File, Discovery and dictation software is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide general administrative and clerical support to the attorneys, including drafting correspondence, managing calendars (Outlook experience needed), scheduling appointments and corresponding with clients.

Organize and maintain physical and electronic files, always ensuring confidentiality.

Assist with preparation of legal documents, discovery and correspondence as directed.

Assist with trial preparation.

Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails and other communications.

Handle other office duties and projects assigned.

Position Details:

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8-5pm (in person required.)

Competitive pay commensurate with experience.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
