WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
The Process Engineer II supports the Russellville Glass Mat facility by improving manufacturing processes that affect safety, quality, cost, productivity, and efficiency. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this position uses process data, statistical analysis, and root-cause problem-solving to identify process variations and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
In this role, you will:
Monitor process performance using data, statistical analysis, and key performance indicators.
Investigate process variations and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Develop and implement process-improvement projects that support plant performance and profitability.
Support production startups, equipment commissioning, process validations, and product trials.
Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, suppliers, customers, and other Saint-Gobain facilities.
Lead process changes through established Management of Change procedures.
Establish process baselines, equipment-performance requirements, and operating standards.
Directly supervise assigned employees by providing work direction, coaching, performance management, and development.
Participate in WCM, plant safety, continuous-improvement, recognition, and other plant initiatives.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or another related engineering discipline is required.
Three to five years of process, manufacturing, or related engineering experience is required.
Leadership experience directing employees, project teams, or cross-functional initiatives is required.
Strong process-engineering, troubleshooting, data-analysis, and root-cause problem-solving skills are required.
Demonstrated project-management and continuous-improvement experience is required.
Strong communication, teamwork, and employee-coaching skills are required.
Experience in Glass Mat, roofing, chemicals, paper, textiles, or another continuous-process manufacturing environment is preferred.
Direct supervisory experience is preferred.
Experience with capital projects, equipment commissioning, and process validation is preferred.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, WCM, or ISO quality systems is preferred.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $81,500 to $126,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures.
