Job Summary

WE ARE HIRING!!!! We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate LPN/RN Unit Manager to lead our senior care team in providing exceptional nursing services within a long-term care or assisted living environment. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a nurturing atmosphere for residents. Responsibilities

Lead and supervise nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient care and adherence to all state healthcare regulations and long-term care standards
Coordinate resident assessments, develop individualized care plans, and oversee their implementation to promote optimal health outcomes
Manage medication administration, catheter care, and other complex clinical procedures with precision and safety
Oversee documentation processes using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA guidelines
Monitor quality assurance metrics, participate in utilization review and management activities, and ensure continuous improvement initiatives are implemented effectively

Skills

Proven experience managing nursing teams within senior care settings or long-term care facilities with knowledge of Geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer's care.
Extensive clinical expertise in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; familiarity with acute pain management and trauma protocols is highly desirable
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Cerner, PCC, or eClinicalWorks; strong medical documentation skills including ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and CPT coding for procedures
Skilled in patient assessment techniques including vital signs monitoring, physical examinations, specimen collection/processing, phlebotomy, and diagnostic evaluation.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations along with state healthcare laws governing long-term care facilities; familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid regulations is advantageous
Strong communication skills for effective triage, family education on health coaching topics like nutrition or medication administration, and interdisciplinary collaboration
Physical ability to perform essential tasks such as lifting Hoyer lifts or assisting residents with mobility needs; commitment to infection control practices including aseptic techniqueJoin our dedicated team where your expertise will directly impact the well-being of our residents.
