Full Job Description

Job Requirements/Skills

· Possess a working knowledge of consumer lending, collections, credit loan products, and credit services.

· Must have an understanding of all Federal and state lending, collection, and tax laws, consumer loan documentation, and loan servicing requirements.

· Have a thorough understanding of the operating system, with a proficient ability to process all payment options accurately, all loan services and loan documentation, system maintenance, issuance of checks, ability to download upgrades/enhancements/corrections.

· Possess the ability to perform administrative functions as needed.

· Have knowledge of basic accounting procedures; be proficient on a ten key calculator and be thoroughly computer literate.

· Understand and effectively carry out assigned duties with limited supervision.

· Have the ability to constructively and objectively handle stressful situations and individuals.

· Possess excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

· Be a team player, have a positive attitude, and have the ability to handle a heavy workflow in an effective and efficient manner.

· Demonstrate organizational skills that ensure all functions are completed in a timely manner and that all report deadlines are met.

· Inputting data from financial records into tax return software or databases

· Complete and file tax documents with appropriate agencies like the IRS, state and local government entities

Business Development

· Support Branch in achieving monthly volume goals.

· Solicit current customer base through counter, telephone, and mail solicitations.

· Develop new business through customer recommendations, competitor referrals, and the solicitation of former borrowers.

Delinquency Control

· Work delinquent accounts as directed.

· Collect past due accounts through written notices and phone calls as directed.

· Field call collection accounts in accordance with company guidelines as directed.

· File legal action and bankruptcy petitions as directed.

· Collect charged-off accounts as directed.

Lending Functions

· Takes and investigates loan applications.

· Prepares loan documents for closing.

· Breaks down loan files.

· Files loan files.

Administrative Functions

· Have overall responsibility of the cash drawer and perform the majority of cash drawer functions.

· Process counter payments.

· Process, record, and make daily deposits.

· Post mail payments.

· Process deferments.

· Process adjustment of terms.

· Mail turndown notices.

· Process paid-out loan papers.

· Process due date changes.

· File folders, notices, etc.

· Mail letters.

· Perform the daily backup on the operating system.

Time Allotment

· 60% - Administrative/Payment Duties

· 20% - Collection Activities

· 25% - Lending and Business Development

· 5% - Other tasks assigned by management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
