Full Job Description

(EmployReward Solutions) partners with the Social Security Administration as a federal contractor under the Ticket to Work Program (https://www.ssa.gov/work/). We serve as a support system and resource for people with disabilities aiming to reenter the workplace or find employment for the first time, with the goal of achieving financial independence.

Seeking candidates to fill a Full-Time Career Coach position, Monday-Friday.

It is imperative for the person filling this position to demonstrate empathy and patience, resourcefulness, and thinking outside the box while offering clear and positive information.

Available shift hours: 9AM-6PM available

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain contact with clients at least monthly to build and maintain relationships and to actively promote career opportunities
Gather research online regarding various services (i.e. housing, education, childcare, food, technology assistance, grief counseling, disability support groups, utilities assistance, legal assistance, clothing, and transportation support services) as needed or requested by the client to ensure client success.
Assist clients in maintaining their employment and mentor client on career progression.
Coach or counsel clients on employment options based on the client’s interest and skills assessment results, background, disability, education and experience.
Discuss goals and help strategize methods for improvement and maintaining gainful employment ongoing or at least monthly.
General counseling (i.e., disability limitations, positive reinforcement techniques, wage reporting to ERS and SSA, conflict management at work).
Identify customer needs through active listening to generate interest, establish eligibility, and determine service needs (e.g., job searches, resume and cover letter writing, application assistance, interview preparation, mock interviewing, benefits counseling, interest assessments) as needed.
Document customer needs, interactions, and outcomes in the appropriate tool or system
Ensure customer understanding of all program protections and services offered
Creating a “WOW” factor in every interaction through exceptional communication skills, taking ownership of the interaction
Maintain a caseload of at least a minimum of 150 clients.
Familiarity with the job market and what jobs are available.
Maintain confidentiality regarding personal identifiable information.
Meet monthly quotas (phone calls and service requests) as determined by upper management.
Ability to research for resources (housing, transportation, education and training, assistive technology, prescription/drug assistance, assessment tools, resources for felons, job search) online in the client's area.
Respond to text/voicemail/phone call/email and mail by client in a timely manner.

REQUIRED

High School Diploma or GED
Strategic decision making and problem-solving skills
Passionate, articulate, empathetic, patient, and caring
Ability to multi-task, meet goals, objectives, and expectations
Flexibility, attention to detail, and time management
Capable of passing and maintaining a security clearance

PREFERRED

Experience in counseling and workforce development
Customer service experience
Phone etiquette skills/active listener
Proficient communication skills – both verbal and written
Experience with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
Ideal candidate will have experience working with adults with disabilities
Call Center experience of 1 year.
Associates or Bachelor’s degree (Social Work, Psychology, Business, or Related)

We have developed a hybrid training program that combines traditional classroom-style learning and hands-on learning including observations, peer-to-peer training, and practical application exercises. This holistic approach will equip you with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience necessary to excel in your role as a Career Coach.
