Life Village is seeking an exceptional educator to help launch and lead our new Homeschool Enrichment Program opening this fall.
This is more than a teaching position. As the Lead Teacher & Homeschool Program Coordinator, you will help build a one-of-a-kind learning community while serving as the primary contact for homeschool families. You will lead instruction, oversee daily program operations, support admissions and enrollment, and help shape the future growth of Life Village.
Our program blends project-based learning, differentiated instruction, STEM, leadership, entrepreneurship, life skills, and meaningful indoor and outdoor learning experiences.* Nature *is an extension of the classroom, allowing students to connect academic learning with real-world experiences that foster curiosity, resilience, creativity, and independence.
About Life Village
Life Village is an extension of Life International Academy located on a beautiful six-acre campus in Tampa, Florida. Students participate in mixed-age learning throughout the day, including: Forest Kindergarten, Lower Elementary (Grades 1–3), Upper Elementary (Grades 4–6)

Responsibilities
- Lead a mixed-age homeschool enrichment program serving Forest Kindergarten, Lower Elementary (Grades 1–3), and Upper Elementary (Grades 4–6).
- Plan and deliver engaging project-based, Montessori-inspired lessons using differentiated instruction.
- Blend indoor academics with outdoor learning through gardening, sustainability, animal care, STEM, nature exploration, and practical life skills.
- Lead the development of our Forest Kindergarten pilot program and help grow the homeschool program.
- Foster a positive classroom culture through strong organization, leadership, and behavior management.
- Serve as the primary contact for homeschool families, supporting admissions, enrollment, communication, and community engagement.
- Coordinate field trips, special events, and program activities while maintaining student records and daily operations.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for an educator who is equally passionate about strong academics and meaningful real-world learning and appreciates learning in Nature and the outdoors.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
- Experience with homeschool programs, microschools, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, or differentiated multi-age classrooms preferred.
- Strong classroom leadership, differentiated instruction, organization, and positive behavior management skills.
- Passion for project-based learning, nature-based education, gardening, sustainability, animal care, and practical life skills.
- Comfortable working with children and families from diverse cultural and international backgrounds.
- Comfortable teaching outdoors and incorporating Nature.
- Excited to help build an innovative homeschool program from the ground up.
Compensation & Benefits
$30,000–$45,000 annually depending on schedule, experience, and program responsibilities.
$25–$35 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
