Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Operating Room Administrative Manager provides high-level administrative oversight and coordination of operating room operations within a private cosmetic surgical office-facility. This role serves as a key liaison between the administrative office and the surgical team to ensure alignment across departments, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with the Director of Nursing, the OR Administrative Manager supports surgical workflow through administrative leadership, operational oversight, and cross-functional coordination.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week).

Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Oversight of Surgical Operations

Provide administrative leadership supporting the overall function and efficiency of the operating room.
Ensure surgical operations align with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and operational goals.
Monitor operational performance indicators such as case volume, utilization trends, and workflow efficiency.
Assist leadership in identifying opportunities to improve operational performance and patient experience.

Cross-Departmental Coordination

Serve as the primary liaison between the administrative office and operating room staff.
Facilitate communication between surgeons, clinical teams, and administrative personnel regarding operational matters.
Work closely with the Director of Nursing to support coordination of surgical services and operational initiatives.
Ensure alignment between office operations and surgical services.

Administrative & Business Operations Support

Support administrative functions related to HR coordination, payroll processes, medical billing, and insurance operations.
Maintain familiarity with healthcare administrative workflows including staffing support and operational reporting.
Assist leadership in maintaining efficient administrative processes that support surgical operations.

Vendor & Facility Relationship Management

Manage administrative relationships with select facility vendors, including:
Cleaning and environmental services
Laundry services
Equipment maintenance providers
Coordinate vendor communication and service scheduling to ensure operational continuity.

Compliance & Operational Governance

Support adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards applicable to ambulatory surgical facilities.
Maintain oversight of administrative documentation supporting inspections, regulatory compliance, and operational governance.
Assist in maintaining policies and procedures related to surgical operations.

Qualifications

Minimum 7+ years of experience in healthcare operations, preferably within:
Plastic surgery offices or related specialty
Office-Based Surgical Facilities (OBS) and/or Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC)
Outpatient surgical settings
Ambulatory healthcare environments
Strong understanding of healthcare administrative processes, including HR coordination, payroll, medical billing, and insurance operations.
Experience working within surgical or procedural healthcare settings preferred.
