If you’re an HR Generalist who is tired of doing the same thing every day, this is not a typical HR job. Employer’s Guardian supports more than 100 employers, giving you exposure to a wide range of HR challenges and the opportunity to operate at the highest professional levels in the industry. Successful candidates will be developed toward HR Business Partner and Senior HR Business Partner roles, with compensation increases tied directly to demonstrated mastery of professional development.

Position Summary:

As our HRG, you'll be our clients' superhero, guiding them through the fascinating world of HR from operations to performance management and legal compliance. Be ready to play different roles - a consultant, a mentor, an advocate, and an educator - all rolled into one!

Our successful HR Generalists employ thein ir extensive HR knowledge to devise impactful solutions that address intricate business challenges. They're not just building relationships but forging strong partnerships with clients, positioning Employer's Guardian not as a mere service provider, but as an indispensable busiin partner.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing timely and high-quality best practices Human Resource support to clients via email and calls.
Educating and training clients on employment regulations and compliance concerns.
Advising on employee relations matters, providing interpretation and recommendations on policies and practices, employment laws, and compliance guidelines.
Support clients with creating various HR documentation, including job descriptions, interview guides, performance management templates, employee communication, and training courses.
Supporting clients with employee performance issues by writing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) that maximize the opportunity to change behavior, control UI costs, and protect clients from costly litigation.
Consulting clients regarding leave of absence and accommodation requests, serving as a backup for managing leave of absence and ADA cases.
Consulting clients regarding separations from employment and preparing documentation.
Conducting regular audits of wage and hour compliance, identifying compliance risks, and recommending changes.
Supporting HRIS enhancements and ensuring their effective adoption by clients.

Required Qulifications:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with three years of HR Generalist experience.
In-depth knowledge of California and Federal employment laws.
Experience in employee relations and performance management.
Experience in wage and hour compliance.
Experience in LOA and ADA case management.
Demonstrated proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite. Must have advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

PHR or SHRM-CP certification
Experience in a healthcare environment
Multi-state, multi-business unit oversight
Payroll auditing
