Who are we looking for:

This role is positioned between Accounting, Purchasing, and Operations which allows you to effectively facilitate inventory alignment. We believe in working hard and having fun along the way. Job Summary:

The Inventory & Cost Analyst will partner with Accounting, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure system accuracy, monitor inventory levels, and investigate discrepancies to keep production moving. The ability to engage with different personalities and systems will be key for success. The Inventory & Cost Analyst will leverage attention to detail, clear communication, and best practices to enhance data accuracy and take on projects to reshape what inventory management looks like at Lakeside.

Responsibilities/ Tasks:

Maintain inventory accuracy within the ERP system (Sage 100) by reviewing, entering, validating, and correcting inventory transactions.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and determine root causes while implementing corrective actions.
Perform cycle counts, spot counts, monthly counts, and annual physical inventories.
Reconcile inventory variances between physical inventory and system records.
Analyze inventory movement to identify excess, obsolete, slow-moving, or inaccurate inventory.
Review Bills of Material (BOMs) and production transactions to ensure accurate inventory consumption and reporting.
Receive raw materials into the ERP system accurately and promptly.
Verify material costs, manufactured inventory values, and production variances.
Support costing activities by assisting the CFO with inventory valuation and cost accounting.
Track manufactured inventory for both internal reporting and customer requirements.
Utilize customer-specific inventory and reporting systems when required.
Partner with Purchasing, Accounting, Production, and Warehouse personnel to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Recommend and implement process improvements that increase inventory accuracy and strengthen internal controls.
Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

· 2 years work experience preferred in supply chain, inventory management, accounting or related field

· Experience with ERP system required

· High School Diploma required (associate’s degree preferred)

· Excellent attention to detail

· Self-motivated with ability to work individually and as part of a team

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Must be able to sit for long periods of time

· Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
