Full Job Description

The Human Resources Manager originates, implements, leads, and performs Human Resources services. The HR Manager creates and maintains policies, benefits, payroll, training, and Company programs that provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture emphasizing safety, quality, productivity, continuous improvement, and recruitment/retention of a superior workforce.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Proposes, publishes and administers company policies and procedures

· Stays current on recent federal, state, and case law changes and monitors labor law updates and newsletters for changes that affect HR.

· Provides advice and counsel on personnel issues.

· Develops and administers an effective recruitment program.

· Processes all new employees and conducts orientations.

· Administers classification programs; writes job descriptions.

· Analyzes, prepares and inputs accurate and timely payrolls ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.

· Maintains employee pay files and tax records.

· Manages workers compensation cases and files at the plant level.

· Administers employee benefit programs, such as: group medical, drug, dental, life, and short-term disability insurances; 401k; and paid time-off programs.

· Assists employees with resolution of problems and questions regarding benefits.

· Initiates and maintains procedures that provide a safe work environment.

· Conducts employee safety training in compliance with OSHA requirements

· Coordinates company special events.

· Assists in Vendor set up and supply ordering

· Assists in daily office operations

· Coordinates community relations and projects

· Plans, organizes, implements, coordinates and directs other functions, and duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Associates Degree

· 5+ years’ experience in a directly related role

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies

Consistent track record for executing performance objectives and delivering results with minimal supervision
Experience partnering with senior business executives across an organization

· Proficient in Microsoft Office products

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in human resource management, business or related field

· 10+ years’ experience in a directly related role

· PHR or SPHR Certificate

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
