Full Job Description

We are looking for a passionate, high-energy Sous Chef to help lead our talented culinary team. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will handle day-to-day kitchen management to ensure every dish meets our strict standards for quality, safety, and visual appeal. Your proactive leadership style will motivate our kitchen crew to excel in a high-volume, upscale dining setting. This role is a perfect fit for a skilled culinary professional ready to manage production, showcase their creativity, and drive team success.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with the Executive Chef to direct all kitchen operations, from ingredient prep through final plate presentation.
Lead, train, and mentor line cooks and kitchen staff, cultivating a collaborative and growth-oriented kitchen culture.
Track inventory levels and manage ordering to keep ingredients fresh while actively reducing food waste.
Enforce rigorous health department regulations, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards throughout the line and prep areas.
Contribute to menu engineering and seasonal recipe development, introducing creative plates that align with our brand identity.
Collaborate with the events and banquets teams to execute flawless execution for large parties and private functions.
Build staff schedules, track labor budgets, and optimize kitchen station efficiency during peak service rushes.
Oversee proper ingredient rotation, labeling, and storage procedures.
Onboard new kitchen hires, instructing them on our specific cooking techniques, safety guidelines, and culinary expectations.

Requirements & Qualifications

Solid track record as a Sous Chef or Lead Line Cook in an upscale, fine-dining environment.
Strong leadership capabilities with a history of successfully supervising and motivating a back-of-house team.
Deep experience handling large-scale catering, multi-course banquets, and event execution.
Competence in adjusting recipes to safely accommodate food allergies and strict dietary restrictions.
Sharp understanding of food cost control, inventory management, and kitchen sanitation laws.
Highly skilled in food preparation, advanced culinary techniques, and menu innovation.
Clear communication skills and a positive attitude that keeps the line focused under pressure.
Background in restaurant or hospitality management is preferred.
Ability to multi-task and maintain high-quality presentation in a fast-moving kitchen.
