Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our awesome culinary team. We are a busy, well established, small family oriented farm to table scratch kitchen with a unique and creative menu that strives to source local and work with the community. The ideal candidate will have a passion to create using seasonal produce, hold strong relationships with our local farms, ranches and vendors, thrive in a busy environment, work well with others, has great communication skills, line lead experience, positive attitude and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards and consistency of food safety and quality. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen is lead and operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience and reputation for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, butchering, slicing, and marinating.
Maintaining an organized line set up, quality control, line check and tasting consistantly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace and team.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe cooking environment.
Collaborate and communicate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new creative dishes for our community.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and order accordingly.
Ensure proper handling of food items to minimize waste and maintain quality.
Costing, inventory, ordering, organizing, menu development, leading.

Experience

Previous experience in a lead roll of a kitchen. Costing, inventory, waste management, menu development, accountability, consistency (line set up and tasting), pivoting under pressure, organization of the kitchen.
Butcher experience.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills is essential.
Food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Experience in different dining establishments.
Strong leadership skills with strong ability to work under pressure gracefully in a fast-paced open kitchen.
Experience and passion for culinary arts and eagerness to learn new techniques.
