Full Job Description

Survey Crew Member

Greeley based land surveying firm seeking hard working, self-motivated individual for field surveying position. The firm provides a variety of land surveying services to local government and private sector clients and values Integrity, Responsibility, Teamwork, Quality and Customer Service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in a prompt start to survey activities by stocking truck with equipment and tools daily
Assist the crew chief in all aspects of the survey
Setting up equipment on arrival at jobsite
Packing up equipment on departure of jobsite
Maintain and clean survey equipment, tools and vehicle
Ensure all equipment is properly charged and ready for use
Carrying stakes and surveying equipment
Hammering and digging
Preparing Jobsite Hazard Analysis for each project
Maintain records and prepare reports

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
Clean driving record
Ability to carry out written and oral instructions
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work 10-12h days in remote or rural areas
Ability to work outside, in all weather conditions
Ability to walk long distances or stand for long periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to learn principles and practices of land surveying
Ability to make arithmetic computations accurately and legibly record results
Team oriented
Client-focused

Preferred Characteristics:

Surveying experience
Construction/Engineering or Oil & Gas experience
Current Safety training (OSHA, Safeland, H2S, CPR, First Aid)
