Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented TECH/Receptionist to join our healthcare team! You must be able to assist doctor with optical testing.This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will deliver exceptional customer service while managing medical records, scheduling, and billing processes. Your expertise in electronic health record (EHR) systems, medical coding, and health information management will be instrumental in maintaining clinical confidentiality and supporting healthcare delivery. Duties

Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures
Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth
Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments, and assist with billing using medical billing and coding knowledge including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes
Review and update patient records ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, directing calls efficiently while maintaining phone etiquette
Assist with documentation review, filing medical records, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems
Support clinical staff by preparing care plans, managing medical documentation, and performing clerical tasks such as data entry and typing

Qualifications

Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with familiarity in EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance policies (including Medicare), and clinical confidentiality policies
Experience with medical coding (ICD-10, CPT), billing procedures, and documentation review
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record management software
Bilingual abilities are highly preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Demonstrated front desk skills with exceptional customer service and phone etiquette capabilities
Clinic experience or dental clinic background is a plus; familiarity with healthcare compliance standards is essential
