Full Job Description

Job Description: The Plant Operator 1, under direct supervision, is responsible for successfully completing level 1 operator tasks within all production departments (including Blending & Bag, Batch Coating and Screening.)

Safe operation of forklifts with up to 2,000-pound loads.
Load raw materials for various departments
Unload Dry Bulk trucks and handle paperwork.
Clean equipment as needed.
Loading and unloading doyles
Hand Stack pallets with 50 pound bags when needed.
Wrap Pallets and apply proper labels.
Load and package finished goods in various departments
Enter confined spaces once fully trained on proper process.
Adhere to all plant safety requirements.
Perform plant housekeeping duties.
Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Forklift Certification (training provided)
Skid Steer experience preferred
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to be at work on time and as scheduled.
Ability and willingness to be trained on additional tasks
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Openings

Shift: Monday-Thursday, 6pm-6:30am (48 hour per week schedule) Possible additional OT in peak season. Peak season may require schedule change to include working weekends.

Work Environment:

This position works in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment.
Position includes walking and standing for long periods of time
Lifting materials up to 50 pounds in weight.
Working in an environment that can be dusty and includes raw fertilizer material.
