About Our Client

Established and highly respected commercial construction contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support its continued growth across public and private sector projects. With nearly a century of success and approaching a major company milestone, the organization has built a reputation for quality, integrity, and long-term client relationships while maintaining a strong backlog of work and a people-first culture.Family-owned and financially stable, the company specializes in mid-sized commercial projects valued up to $30M+ and has become a recognized leader in Design-Build and collaborative delivery methods. Their ability to self-perform key scopes of work provides greater project control and quality assurance, creating an environment where experienced construction professionals can make a significant impact while working closely with leadership on complex, community-focused projects.

Job Description

Manage multiple commercial construction projects ranging from approximately $1M to $40M in value
Oversee projects throughout the full lifecycle, from preconstruction through closeout
Lead project teams while providing mentorship and guidance to junior Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers
Collaborate with clients, design partners, subcontractors, and internal operations teams to ensure successful project delivery
Drive project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and risk management initiatives
Support the company's continued growth in Design-Build and collaborative delivery projects
Maintain strong client relationships and uphold the organization's commitment to quality and service
Work closely with senior leadership on strategic project planning and execution
Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards

The Successful Applicant

7+ years of Project Management experience within commercial construction
Proven ability to manage complex ground-up construction projects
Experience leading and mentoring project teams
Background in education, higher education, municipal, civic, athletic, healthcare, correctional, industrial, or other public-sector projects strongly preferred
Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration
Experience working within Design-Build, negotiated, or collaborative project delivery environments preferred
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work closely with executive leadership and clients
Must be able to commute to and work from the Cherryville, NC office Monday through Friday
