Job Summary
This position is a full-time, on-site position at our Rock Hill, SC facility.
We are seeking a driven individual to join our team as a Laboratory & EHS Manager! This position is crucial within our facility. You will manage a team of Laboratory Technicians who will analyze samples and will oversee the EHS department making sure the company meets required standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Manage environmental permits and required programs, partnering with the Facilities & Maintenance team and potentially outside environmental consultants.
· Key areas of responsibility within EHS are Risk management and mitigation, metrics, reporting, local EHS governance, annual strategic planning, and document control related to EHS policies, procedures, and standards.
· Identify and implement departmental improvements to increase laboratory process efficiencies and throughput while maintaining high quality standards
· Support optimization of our written procedures, systems, quality documents and operations to effectively improve overall efficiency of the laboratory
· Manage technical personnel within the laboratory; supervise, coach, manage and grow our technical professional and staff.
· Prioritize, track and drive to completion all testing requirements across multiple sources/vendors to drive quality standards and customer delivery.
· Purchase Order creation and tracking
· Lab Equipment Calibration
· Responsible for lab supplies, inventory & consumables
· Maintain accurate records of production data, chemical usage, and compliance reports
· Maintaining wastewater and water quality sample collection and some testing procedures to ensure water quality.
· Reporting quarterly Wastewater data to Municipality.
· Other duties as assigned
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
· Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
· 5+ years of experience in electroplating or surface finishing processes
· Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
· Wastewater Operator Physical Chemical “D” Certification
· Strong understanding of electroplating chemistry and equipment
Preferred:
· Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing
· Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards relevant to electroplating operations
· Advanced knowledge of quality control and assurance practices
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
· Proficiency in electroplating techniques and technologies
· Experience with chemical analysis and testing methods
· Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making

Annual salary range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
