Job Title: Pool Technician/ Pool Operator
Effective Date: 07/01/2026
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Position Summary: This position is responsible for the upkeep and basic general repairs and maintenance of the country club Pools, Spas as well as The Water features located on property. Additional responsibilities may include Maintenance to the club building, common areas, and related structures. Reports directly to the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
Pool technician responsibilities:
- Clean pools, spas, and water features; skim debris in water using a net and vacuum.
- Clean, empty, and change pool filters.
- Knowledge of DE filtration.
- Test chlorine and pH levels in swimming pool water.
- Add swimming pool chemicals (e.g., chlorine, acid) to maintain water quality.
- Repair underwater lights & fittings.
- Make repairs to faulty pump seals and motors.
- Check, adjust, repair, and replace pool & spa heaters.
- Drain pools and water lines as needed (e.g., repairs, seasonal prep)
- Keep inventory stocked with chemicals and pool-cleaning equipment.
- Record accurate daily log readings.
- Manage job details and review daily tasks.
- All other assigned duties.
Qualifications and skills:
- Perform preventive swimming pool maintenance & repairs.
- Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Must know and follow safety rules for working with electricity, working from heights, working in confined spaces, and other situations where conditions could be hazardous.
- Must have one-two years of experience working in building maintenance, both outdoors and indoors.
- Current CPO certification is preferred but not required.
- 1+ years of previous experience as a pool technician.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Technical knowledge of common pool cleaning and maintenance practices, including equipment and chemical use.
- Knowledge of safety protocols for chemical handling and equipment operation.
- Great attention to detail, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
- Can work independently and as part of a team environment.
- Can communicate well.
- Friendly, professional, and respectful to members.
Working hours:
- Mon-Fri 7:00 AM - 3:30PM
- On-call as needed
- Required to work on weekends for two months of the year as part of a rotating schedule.

- $18–22/hour (based on experience)

Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Must be able to ascend and descend ladders to 40 feet. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Must be able to be on call nights and weekends. Must be able to lift 40 lb. on a regular basis and occasionally more. Due to the physical nature of the position, a uniform is supplied by Sailfish Point and required to wear.
