Busy, well established ophthalmology practice seeks an experienced administrative team member to join a collaborative team.

Full time position in our Port St Lucie location. ( may work from Stuart location as needed)

The position is primarily focused on front desk operations to include patient check in, check out, referrals and authorizations, telephone operations and will be properly trained to work across multiple functions.

Treasure Coast Eye Specialists is a well-established and reputable multi doctor ophthalmology practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. With a commitment to delivering the highest standard of care, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Front Desk Representative to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a positive and motivated Front Desk team member with experience in a busy medical practice environment. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of electronic health records (EHR), insurance billing processes, referrals, and authorizations and billing. Attention to detail and Multitasking is a must. Previous experience in ophthalmology will be considered a strong advantage. This position will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and efficient atmosphere for our patients while supporting the practice's administrative operations.

Front Desk Receptionist Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice.
Efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, verifying and updating patient information as necessary.
Proficiently handle appointment scheduling, ensuring optimal utilization of available appointment slots.
Facilitate insurance verification and billing processes, accurately documenting patient information and insurance details.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of referrals and authorizations.
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of ophthalmology procedures, treatments, and services offered by the practice.
Effectively handle telephone inquiries, addressing patient questions, and routing calls to the appropriate departments.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of patient records and administrative paperwork.
Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor, maintaining a clean and organized front desk area.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient needs and concerns with empathy and attentiveness.
Demonstrate the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, managing various administrative tasks simultaneously.
Display a high level of dependability and reliability, consistently adhering to work schedules and commitments.
Collaborate with the team to promote a cohesive and positive work environment.
Willingness to travel between Stuart and Port St. Lucie office locations as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a front desk receptionist in a medical practice setting.

Strong computer skills
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to remain composed and professional under pressure.
