Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Kitchen Manager, where you will lead and coordinate the dietary services within a vibrant assisted living environment. This vital role combines management expertise with a passion for nutrition and patient care, ensuring residents receive personalized, nutritious meals that promote health and well-being. As a Kitchen Manager, you will oversee food service operations, develop care plans, and supervise staff to deliver exceptional dietary support tailored to each individual's needs. Your leadership will foster a positive dining experience while maintaining compliance with health regulations and budgetary goals.

Responsibilities

Manage daily dietary operations within the facility, ensuring high standards of food safety, quality, and resident satisfaction
Develop and implement personalized care plans that incorporate nutrition goals, physiology considerations, and specific dietary requirements such as tube feeding or diagnostic evaluation needs
Supervise and train dietary staff, including cooks and assistants, fostering a team-oriented environment focused on excellence in service
Conduct patient assessments to determine nutritional needs and adjust meal plans accordingly
Oversee budgeting processes for the dietary department to optimize resource allocation while maintaining quality standards
Ensure compliance with all health regulations and assist in maintaining accurate documentation related to dietetics and care plans
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient health coaching, monitor progress, and adapt strategies as needed

Skills

Extensive knowledge of assisted living environments and the unique dietary needs of residents
Proven experience in supervising dietary departments with strong leadership skills
Expertise in patient assessment techniques, including tube feeding management and diagnostic evaluation considerations
Solid understanding of physiology related to nutrition and how it impacts overall health
Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual health conditions
Strong management skills with experience in budgeting, resource planning, and team supervision
Excellent communication skills for effective health coaching and interdisciplinary collaboration
