About us

First Presbyterian Church in Fort Wayne, IN. We are innovative, collaborative, supportive, concerned for the good of all people.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The Weeknight Custodian is accountable to the Church Administrator. Position is Monday - Thursday 3pm-9pm and Sunday 8am-2pm

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Support all evening events at First Presbyterian, which includes, building usage, setup, tear down, funerals, weddings, internal and external groups. Providing point of contact for any needs and securing facility end of shift. Throughout the week perform cleaning duties in accordance with daily Task List.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition.

B. Open building, set up for any events, take care of any custodial duties.

C. Sweeps, mops. scrubs, and vacuums floors.

D. Help with weekday set-ups and tear-downs.

E. Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.

F. Dust furniture, walls, equipment, and areas of worship.

G. Help with theater, gallery, and dressing room clean up

H. Cleans windows, mirrors, and high-touch surfaces.

I. After guests finish using rooms, clean and close for the night.

J. Remove all trash from rooms, offices, kitchen.

K. Vacuum offices, hallways, lobby, and clean glass partitions.

L. Manages inventory of cleaning supplies.

M. Follows procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent

damage to floors and fixtures.

N. Serves as on-site security for evening events and groups.

O. Performs other related duties asassigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Hard working, follows instructions, and resourceful.
Ability to work cooperatively as part of a staff team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with efficiency and grace.
Proactive and confident in problem solving or presenting recommended solutions.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
