Full Job Description

Director of Dining Services
Full-Time | Senior Living Community

We are seeking an experienced Director of Dining Services to lead the dining program at an Assisted Living community. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily dining operations including culinary production, regulatory compliance, and team leadership while creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for residents.

The ideal candidate is an operational leader who is comfortable managing Front and Back of House operations while also building relationships within the community.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily dining operations including meal production, all levels of service, financial reporting , and resident satisfaction.
Lead, train, and develop the dining services team while maintaining accountability and performance standards.
Work with Executive Chef on menu planning, food production, and recipe execution.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
Manage food and labor costs while maintaining quality and consistency.
Build positive relationships with residents and ensure the dining program meets their needs and preferences.
Partner with the Activities team to support special events, celebrations, and community programming.
Coordinate catering and special meals for resident events and gatherings.
Oversee kitchen operations including scheduling, purchasing, and inventory controls.
Maintain a positve, open partnership with the on-site client

Qualifications

3–5+ years of food service leadership experience
Experience in healthcare, senior living, or high-volume food service environments preferred
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Experience with ordering, inventory management, and menu planning
Strong leadership and communication skills
Strong Computer skills with basic Accounting and Budgeting acumen
