We are seeking a highly-skilled and driven Lead Full Stack Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing application solutions across the entire Ark platform, encompassing front-end, back-end, database, testing, and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with product managers to translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions. As a contributing member of the team, you will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers.

What You’ll Do
- Full Stack Development: Takes an AI-first approach to developing application solutions across the Ark platform including Frontend, Backend, Database, Testing, and Infrastructure.
- Requirements Analysis & Solution Design: Collaborate with product and our lead architect to thoroughly understand business requirements and translate them into comprehensive technical solutions.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to other developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Technology Research & Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging trends and evaluate new technologies to determine their suitability and timing for integration into the Ark platform.
- System Maintenance & Security: Ensure applications and systems are well-maintained, secure, and up-to-date, proactively addressing any potential vulnerabilities.
- Testability: Write unit tests and participate in QA processes. Maintain Swaggerhub/OpenAPI design and documentation to maintain a clean, consistent, and well-documented API for all services.
- Infrastructure Improvement: Continuously improve existing error handling, logging, tracing, monitoring, and alerting infrastructure to enhance system reliability and performance.
Required Qualifications
- 7 to 15 years of proven full-stack software engineering expertise, ideally within the financial sector or similar industry, backed by a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of deep server-side development mastery using Java and Spring Boot, implementing automated quality through JUnit, Rest Assured, or Cucumber; Python skills are a plus.
- 4+ years of robust front-end experience crafting dynamic interfaces with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React, complemented by practical familiarity with modern test frameworks like Vitest, Playwright, or Jest.
- Recent AI-first development experience using specification-driven development through Claude Code and Cursor are preferred; Junie and Github Copilot also accepted.
- 4+ years of cloud excellence, specifically building, scaling, and maintaining high-performance production applications directly within the AWS ecosystem.
- 7+ years of comprehensive database expertise spanning SQL, NoSQL, and GraphDB technologies; MySQL is preferred, PostgreSQL and Neo4j are a plus.
- Showcase a successful track record of thriving in a remote-first setting and effectively collaborating with diverse external resources, including near-shore and off-shore development partners.

- Troubleshooting: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of application-related issues, including error messages, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks.
- Cloud Expertise: Strong understanding of application deployment and infrastructure components in a cloud environment, particularly AWS.
- Startup & SMB Experience: Experience working using agile methodologies in a fast-paced startup or SMB environment.
Pay: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
