Job Summary:

As we scale our operations, the IT & Cybersecurity Manager will own and evolve our IT infrastructure and cybersecurity posture.
The IT & Cybersecurity Manager is the principal architect, guardian, and operator of all internal IT systems and cybersecurity practices. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on both strategy and execution. Laying the foundation for a secure, scalable, and responsive IT environment that empowers our engineering, mission ops, and business teams to move fast without compromising safety or compliance.
Key Outcomes and Responsibilities:
- Build and Maintain a Resilient IT Infrastructure
- Ensure all employees have reliable access to the tools, systems, and services they need with minimal downtime and maximum security. (including personal devices, cloud services, on-prem servers and network, and other equipment)
- Implement and manage robust network, identity, and device management policies
- (e.g., zero trust, VPN, SSO, 2FA).
- Deploy and manage endpoint protection, patching, and asset tracking across the organization.
- Ensure that all Rogue spacecraft, software, service providers, programs, and partner interfaces are secure and adhere to best practices.
- Ensure Cybersecurity Readiness and Compliance
- Ensure Rogue passes security audits, resists phishing and ransomware attacks, and complies with customer or regulatory cybersecurity requirements (e.g., NIST 800-171, CMMC, ITAR).
- Own, implement, and enforce security policies for access control, encryption, backups, monitoring, and incident response.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and simulations to test and improve the company’s cybersecurity posture.
- Provide consultative services and technical writing to business development and contracting efforts, that position Rogue as having strong compliance in-line with stakeholder requirements.
- Lead IT for Scale
- As Rogue grows, IT systems scale smoothly and cost-effectively, supporting onboarding, offboarding, and cross-team collaboration without bottlenecks or delays.
- Standardize employee onboarding/offboarding, hardware procurement, license management, and secure collaboration tools (e.g., email, cloud storage, project tools).
- Evaluate and deploy SaaS and on-prem services that align with technical and business needs.
- Ensure that IT Infrastructure is maintained, anticipates company needs, and maintains a well defined budget and roadmap.
- Be the First Responder and Strategic Advisor
- Ensure IT and cybersecurity are no longer an afterthought or bottleneck but a strategic enabler of the business.
- Provide expert support when incidents occur, but also proactively prevent them through monitoring, tooling, and employee education.
- Advise leadership on risks, policies, and IT architecture as it relates to business goals, customer contracts, and government compliance.
- Establish a Culture of Cyber Hygiene and IT Ownership
- Everyone in the company feels informed, accountable, and confident in how to handle technology securely and effectively.
- Run lightweight but effective IT security training and security simulations.
- Draft and maintain clear, accessible documentation on internal IT standards and best practices, procedures, and policies.

- Strong grasp of Software Engineering, Computing hardware, and general Information Systems topics
- Strong grasp of concepts and practices in the cybersecurity domain

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications
- Able to properly estimate delivery times of project milestones; and then manage time to meet the stated deadlines.
- Able to document technical proposals, produce flow-charts, slide-decks, and other technical documents that explain technical subject matter topics clearly to non-technical readers.
- Able to teach and promote best practices and knowledge in areas of your expertise to other disciplines internally
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience working in IT operations with familiarity in CMMC, NIST 800-171, and ITAR compliance
- Active or Prior security Clearances preferred
- Security certifications strongly preferred

Pay: $120,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
