Full Job Description

Job Overview

Tax Network USA is seeking a motivated Tax Attorney to join our growing Nashville office. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed attorney who is eager to build a career in tax resolution.

In this role, you'll represent clients before the IRS and state taxing authorities, helping protect them from collection actions while developing effective strategies to resolve complex tax matters. We're looking for someone who is driven, detail-oriented, and excited to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Represent clients before the IRS and state taxing authorities.
Analyze tax matters and develop resolution strategies.
Review financial and tax documentation.
Prepare legal correspondence and tax-related documents.
Negotiate with the IRS and state agencies regarding tax liabilities and resolution options.
Advise clients regarding available tax resolution programs.
Conduct legal research related to federal and state tax matters.
Maintain accurate case documentation and client records.
Communicate regularly with clients regarding case progress.
Collaborate with Enrolled Agents, Case Managers, and other attorneys.
Manage an active caseload while ensuring deadlines are met.
Stay current on changes in tax laws and IRS procedures.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and in good standing.
New graduates and attorneys with several years of experience are encouraged to apply.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and the ability to quickly learn new software.
Prior tax resolution experience is a plus, but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

Interest in tax law, tax controversy, or tax resolution.
Experience communicating directly with clients.
Experience negotiating or advocating on behalf of clients.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
Desire to build a long-term career in tax resolution.

Physical Requirements

Remain in a stationary position while working at a computer for extended periods.
Frequently communicate with clients, coworkers, and government agencies by telephone, video conference, email, and in person.
Frequently operate a computer and other standard office equipment.
Occasionally move throughout the office to attend meetings and collaborate with team members.
Ability to review legal documents and prepare written correspondence.
Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
