Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Non-Invasive Echo Sonographer to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will perform advanced echocardiographic imaging to assist in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions. This role requires a thorough understanding of cardiovascular physiology, anatomy, and sonography techniques, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced clinical environment, including trauma and emergency settings. The Sonographer will collaborate closely with cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic evaluations that support patient care.

Responsibilities:

- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients using specialized equipment
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them
- Position patients correctly to obtain the best images
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate diagnostic evaluations
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all procedures performed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment

-Provides preliminary results in electronic medical record Notify referring physician of significant abnormal findings before discharging patient from lab

Provide final report data for reading physicians

Qualifications:

- Associate's degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
- Certification in Sonography from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Proficiency in performing diagnostic evaluations using ultrasound equipment
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and cardiac catheterization procedures
- Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with patients in a compassionate manner
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to accurately document procedures

- Familiarity with ICAL certification and protocol

Pay: $37.00 - $43.00 per hour
