Garment Presser
Master Cleaners is a fourth-generation, family-owned dry cleaning business that has proudly served the Suffolk community for many years. We take pride in caring for our customers’ garments with consistency and quality while building relationships that last.
We are currently looking for a reliable Garment Presser to become part of our production staff. Experience is not required for this position. We are prepared to train the right person in our methods and help them develop the skills needed to do the work well.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, beginning at 7:30 a.m. The ending time depends on the amount of work scheduled for the day, although most shifts are completed sometime between noon and 2:00 p.m. This position generally offers approximately 18 to 20 hours each week.
Starting pay is $17.00 per hour. As employees gain experience and demonstrate speed, consistency, and strong pressing ability, they can earn closer to $20.00 per hour.
In this role, you will press a variety of garments as they move through our daily production process. The work requires maintaining a steady pace while also making sure each garment is handled carefully and finished properly. You will be expected to follow the training provided, use equipment safely, and complete each task with accuracy.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, teachable, and willing to pay attention to the details that matter. Good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and communication skills are important. Because this is a production position, applicants should also be comfortable standing for most of the shift and working in a warm or occasionally hot environment.
