Full Job Description

Accounts Payable Lead - Westminster, CO (Hybrid, in-office)

Salary - $58,000-$62,000, based on experience

Benefits - This position may be eligible for health, dental, vision, insurance, and 401(K).

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Lead to serve as a subject matter expert and day-to-day resource for a growing Accounts Payable team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with invoice review and approval, process improvement and training and development.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for the AP team, providing expertise and guidance to resolve escalated issues and complex transactions
Analyze major accounts and prepare monthly reconciliations of subsidiary accounts to the general ledger in support of month-end close
Develop and implement AP record-keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures to strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency
Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies, process inconsistencies, and compliance issues; escalate as appropriate
Ensure adherence to GAAP and company accounting policies across all AP functions
Monitor performance indicators, analyze variances, and design and distribute monthly and quarterly financial reports
Direct, train, and assign work to AP staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
Systems: Microsoft Business Central, Concur

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of accounts payable experience with a strong understanding of full-cycle AP and month-end close processes
Supervisory or lead experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central and Concur a plus
Strong knowledge of GAAP and AP best practices
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and lead by example in a fast-paced environment
