Full Job Description

It is one of the leading European suppliers of driver controls (pedal boxes and parking brakes) and drives for fully automated opening and closing of rear lids and lift gates. Under the umbrella of Spanish automotive supplier Gestamp, Edscha services virtually every automaker with its products and know-how from 23 world locations with some 6,300 employees.

(3rd) shift hours are from 10 pm - 6 am, (2nd) Shift hours are 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm, (1st) Shift hour 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

Responsible for preventative maintenance systems and repairs in support of operational goals. May have all or partial responsibility for mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic equipment. Must be able to work effectively in a team based environment. Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical / hydraulic equipment such as presses, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, robots, and various other production machines and equipment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· HS diploma/GED + advanced technical training in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs. USDOL Journeyman certificate preferred.

· 5 years previous employment in a manufacturing environment – automotive preferred, other equivalent work experience or skills training.

·Knowledge in RSLogix5000 / Studio 5000, IAI Servo Systems, Kinetix Servo Drives.

· Vision inspection system experience a plus.

· Fanuc and/or ABB Robotics experience a plus.

· Siemens Controls Step 5 / Step 7 experience a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· PLCs and robotic programming / troubleshooting skills

· Problem Solving – Recognize and solve the malfunctioning of the machine and recognize and solve quality problems of welded assembly part.

· Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic prints

· Follow standardized work instructions
