Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Lifestyle Assistant to join our dedicated team in creating vibrant, supportive environments for our residents. In this role, you will serve as a vital link in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities by providing personalized assistance, engaging recreational activities, and compassionate care. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help foster a warm, welcoming community where residents feel valued, respected, and empowered to live their best lives every day.
Duties
- Plan and coordinate engaging events and recreational activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities, including social gatherings, outings, and wellness programs.
- Provide compassionate care for residents with dementia or memory impairments through specialized memory care techniques and activities that stimulate cognitive function.
- Support assisted living residents by helping them maintain independence while ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
- Manage schedules for residents’ appointments, activities, and care routines to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Offer counseling on aging issues, including health concerns, emotional well-being, and community resources to promote holistic wellness.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to develop personalized care plans that meet individual needs.
- Work with individuals with disabilities to promote inclusion through tailored recreational therapy and social engagement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident interactions, activity participation, and care provided in compliance with privacy standards.
- Foster a positive environment by encouraging social interaction among residents and supporting their emotional health through empathetic communication.
