Prestige Academic Prep | Hagerstown, MD | Part-Time
Prestige Academic Prep is looking for dependable and knowledgeable tutors to join our Hagerstown team.
We work with students from elementary through high school, including homeschool students and students who need additional academic support, enrichment, or help with challenging coursework.
Rather than hiring for just one subject or grade level, we are looking for tutors with different educational backgrounds and areas of expertise.

About the Position
Tutoring assignments are based on your education, experience, subject knowledge, and the needs of our students.
You may work with students in one or more academic areas and at the grade levels you are qualified and comfortable teaching.
Our students may need help with:
- Core academic subjects
- Homework and coursework
- Reading and writing
- Mathematics
- Science
- Social studies
- Foreign languages
- Test preparation
- Study skills and organization
- Academic remediation or enrichment
- Advanced coursework
You do not need to tutor every subject or every grade level. We want to know what you do best.

What You'll Do
Tutors provide individualized instruction based on each student's academic needs and goals.
Responsibilities may include:
- Preparing for scheduled tutoring sessions
- Explaining academic concepts clearly
- Helping students complete and understand coursework
- Reinforcing skills that need additional practice
- Adapting instruction to the student's learning style and ability
- Helping students develop stronger study habits
- Monitoring student progress
- Communicating professionally with parents or guardians when appropriate
- Maintaining brief session notes and progress information

Qualifications

Experience working with students who have learning differences or individualized academic needs is a plus.
Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check are required.

Schedule & Compensation
This is a part-time position, with hours based on student needs and tutor availability.
Hourly compensation varies based on the tutoring assignment and the tutor's qualifications.
